I must admit I often wished that I could simply be happy to go to a class and leave it there, but for people like me, emotional people, mentally active people , a person who loves a challenge and enjoys a hit of adrenalin…..I really had no option other than to pursue my need to be involved in music.
I needed to perform, to sing to dance, to play instruments, to write songs, music and poems and stories and most of all, be with others who shared my passion, to be amongst others like myself.
It was not easy to take that First step into the audition hall, this was the real test of how-to-actually-crush-that-fear-just-singing-in-the-rain.
I was surrounded by a conflagration of thunderclouds, complete strangers who were judging me from the off, but after the hell enveloped in a haze of procrastination, of nights of broken sleep, days of passionate longing. Finally, After that First audition, on my 18th birthday, I felt elated on the drive home. Finally I had taken the first real step to becoming the me I am today
I am proud to admit I have just started to have some music published. You can see it or purchase it here:

Through my journey I have studied and qualified in hypnotherapy, yoga, swimming, meditation and reiki amongst many other aids to feeling relaxed and fulfilled in my music and myself.
What is really exciting to me, is that since becoming a music teacher, I now get to share this passion with my students. I get to nurture their love of music and encourage their growth in confidence and skills.
One of my students told me, last week, that when she wakes up on a Monday morning and reviews her plans for the day, she begins to feel really happy as she looks forward to her music lesson with me
She gets a chance to have an early bubble bath, get dressed up and polished for her hour of singing, keyboard and music theory….
Shall I let you into a secret? I look forward to Mondays just as much as she does.
